Maybe someone mentioned this already, or maybe they didn't.

It's possible to send each other driving data with F355 and then compare them. Showing the analysis. So this is pretty kool because it lets each other see each others race styles and improve them.

Just thought I would let people know that even if the F355 net functions ever cease. We can still swap driving data...aka advanced ghost race files.

For those who don't know. The driving data is an advanced analysis of a lap around a course. It shows all your gear shifts as well as accelleration and skids. You can load 2 drive data files and play them side by side.

Pretty awsome.

btw F355 ownz!

Online with F355 is somewhat of an enigma. The game doesn't really have an online race in realtime. Instead you sign online and choose one of the courses. Then once a certain amount of users have joined, the race will start soon after a few seconds.

There is a qualifying round and then the final race. You race the laps on your own, and then afterwards the final ranking result is displayed. A lot of details from all the racers who competed....like score times, their name, and what country they are from. Then you are disconnected and are able to watch the replay of the race with all the cars shown for those who participated.

It is a really odd online mode....and its not in realtime....however I have to admit.

I have fun with it. It's just fun, thats the experience I get from it.

When you start the race in your mind your thinking. Ok I am racing other people still because you know they are on their DC's as well racing the same course as you are. So you realize you are competing. And then you get to see the final result in the end.

I think for what it's worth F355 online features work pretty good. It's an interesting concept and it sure hasn't detered people from playing...since a lot of people play this game online. The only problem is you can never really tell how many users total are playing, since there are no lobbies or anything. You just pick a course and you wait for more players to join, and then the race starts.

You mean like bump into each other? Nah like the polygons are transparent so if to cars are in the same position they kinda overlap. No biggie.

Alright, time to bust out F355 (being as all the excellent people on PAL PSO have logged off).
