i got bored, so i booted up my linux laptop and made a dc q3a server by the cli. now i was wondering how to change the port so i could host multiple:

ya! Ok here's the deal. First in order to run multiple servers you need to set up seperate installations :/ which means your gonna need to install it multiple times for each server. If you want to avoid this to save HD space, you need to setup symlinking. Which will symlink the .pak files to the new install dir's to save HD space. I still need to figure out how to do this part. Havn't had time yet. After you have this figured out, in the command you just have to put net_port 27960 If you get the symlinking figured out effectivly please holler back as I am not super linux savey and time is of the essence. Yes I could prolly figure it out, but trying to just get these DC-OC q3 servers up as soon as possible. And then I can even finish the linux q3 install tutorial as well hehe :] |
