That's very nice, probably cost a lot to invest into, but it's still nice.

The guy will make one for you as long as you pay for what its work and alittle extra for labor. He will cut the price as if you can provide some of the stuff needed say the Dreamcast or LCD screen witch is Sony PS1 brand. One of the problems he has is that he cant really get his hands on the plastic that he uses to make the Handheld's shell. Hope this helps you guys.

Damn, considering the price of LCD now that would be around $500 for the entire unit. Confused

Assuming you own absolutely nothing, a used DC will cost anywhere from $15-$25. A new PSOne LCD screen runs around $130 for the Sony brand, with used prices being anywhere. So, assuming a new LCD screen and a used DC at maximum price,

$130 + $25 = $155 plus whatever other assorted parts he would use (the plastic case), and the labor charge for molding it and putting it all together, plus shipping your materials to him, and his finished product back to you.

While I don't know how much it would cost to make the case (whether or not he has his own vacuum molder or he gets it done elsewhere), and the required minor electrical components (sautering gear and whatnot), plus the charge for the batteries.

I'll guesstimate at around $250-$300.

The only stuff that I dislike about it are the lack (for now anyway) of a VMU slot, and the removal of the three other controller ports. Having multiplayer ability (like the second port on the Nomad or GameAxe) and a couple of VMU slots (for VMUs and a Puru Puru or Microphone) would rock.

Not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate good work when I see it. It's a killer project, and I salute the creator.

It looks like a nice machine, but personaly I would not pay that kind of money for it considering the features that are left out from the console deck version. Though for hard-core vintage video game collectors it would be a must-have. Razz
