Pirates do it for personal glory; Even if it meant Triangle Service folding as a company, they'd still do it. They want to be given "mad props" for providing to freeloaders.

So, let's not give them any more attention than they deserve.

(Which is "none," of course.)

Yea, about one week after chaos field came on i saw it on emule. stupid stupid stupid. but yes, most people just burn/crack/upload videogames because they can. i was (once) a friend of such a person, but i didn't know it then, and then when i had found out it was because he had gotten arrested. um... and yeah i 100% agree with icepick. so let's lock this sucka already! But lets face it, if you are willing to download it, you would have never bought it anyways.

Anyone who was going to buy it will buy it anyways. Myself, i dont want the game enough to justify the time to download it or the money to buy it.

Well what it comes down to is, there are a lot of gamers into the Dreamcast that are into "FREE" games. They really don't care 2 shits about Trizeal, its gameplay or where it comes from. Almost every game they get is to them a freebee. Many are just cheap flat out broke and refuse to put any money into actually buying the original game. These people only check something out if they can get it for free. In most cases they have a mental complex that they are somehow superior to someone else because they acquired a copy of the game via certain channels and did not have to pay money for it.

Every game to them is disposable. They download 5 games, pop them in and check them out for about 5 minutes, and then are back online looking for another game to download. It is just all one big quick fix. Anyone who buys an original puts far more attention into the game, its music, and its overall production.

This does not really take away from gamesales because these people would never pay for the game in the first place. More importantly they don't even know what Trizeal is, what gameplay style it is, or who it was developed by. They don't care.

All they know is, Trizeal is some new game that they don't have, so they try and track it down and pirate it.

Odds are they pop it in their Dreamcast for 5 minutes, then power it off and go watch TV. They only keep the game after that to mention in chat channels or forums, "Oh yea I have that game, I had it before it came out."

I do not consider these people actual Dreamcast fans/gamers. And here is why:
Have you ever tried actually talking with these people about the Dreamcast? or its games? It is near impossible. They don't know anything. They know the names of the games but not the actual games themselves. It's like talking to a girl behind the desk at walmart about games. There is no connection on any issue.

Not really, that's blind commercialism. A person who pirates their games instead of buying them would see no difference between the DS and the PSP and would pirate them both.

i wish it werent possible to do it sometimes but then i think to myself how would i have got halflife beats of rage or propeller arena. these people just dont know what time and effort is. one thing that can never be taken away from video games is their abillity to entertain and satisfy those who chose to buy them. those who chose to buy them have already decided that they are willing to spend money on something because they believe the purchase will either A) be a wonderful item that some one has put months possibly years of work into and it will keep them happy for a long while enjoying the production values and the games style, soo many games do this for me and i am forever grateful for the hard work that goes into all the games i own. or B) support something, help make something happen. i dont know what trizeal is like, it may disapoint me, it may impress me so much that i never stop playing it. but i buy it not because i want to be able to say "this is a new game on dreamcast i have it" and impress people, i want to support triangle service and the dreamcast. i believe that buying games for the dreamcast is the best thing i can do to keep the dream alive. most if not every member here believes in the same thing, i cannot understand those who do what nikon described. i cant wait for my copy of trizeal and i only pray other games are released on the dc as a result of our belief in the dreamcast and its developers.
