Yesterday I read an article on Wikipedia that said that you can get Half Life for Dreamcast but you have to download it off the interweb and burn it onto a CD yourself because it was never officially released for DC. Does anyone know where I can download this. Without using something like Bittorrent preferribly.

I would really like to find this because all the Dreamcast games I have suck since I bought it off my friend and all the videogame stores near me don't carry Dreamcast games.

If you can find the site where I can download it on can you give me step by step instructions on how to burn it? I've burned vast numbers of Linux operating system ISO files before useing Burn4Free but I don't know if burning a game is the same process.

I just downloaded eMule. It says I'm not connected to a server. How do I connect to a server.

Once I've connected to a server do I just search for "Half Life for Dreamcast" or do I have to enter in the file name (which I don't know what it is).

Thanks. Pretty big file. I'll start downloading before I go to bed and burn it in the morning.

Any particular burning software I need to be useing inorder to burn HL correctly?

The only kind of black cd's I have is CD-R's. Dreamcast can read them right?

Dont know what kind of image that paticular file is. Probobly a Disc Juggler Image.

Download Alcohol 120%, it will burn just about any kind of file imaginable.
http://www.download.com/Alcohol-120-/3000-2646-10158124.html?part=dl-Alcohol120&subj=dl&tag=button

And yes, CD-R's Work fine.

When I go to burn it aith A120% tomarrow morning do I just click "Image Burning Wizard" and A120% does the rest?

I don't normally ask so many questions but I want to make sure I get this 100% right so I can play it first thing tomarrow. I'm probably setting my alarm clock to 5:30 or 6:00 EST.

Can't wait to play Blue Shift!

That wouldn't work.

I did that and when I clicked on "Play" on the Dreamcast start menue it just said "Insert game disk".

The exact file name is "Half-Life Gold.cdi".

What do I do now?

Do I need to burn or buy some sort of swap disk or boot disk and put that in before I play HL?

EDIT: I just found out some useful information

When I want to burn DC games do I have to set Alchahol to a certain type of cd burn?

go to "options"
click on "general"
click on "data type setting"
go to "disk type"

What would I set the disk type to? Because I think it recorded HL as a music type CD.

if you have nero try to find the very small down load known as cdi2nero, it converts the file so that you can burn it in nero, which i always found to be a much more reliable rom burning software.

I did everything this website http://www.dcevolution.net/burning_alcohol120.php told me to do.

First I used CDI2Nero to make it into a Nero file.
Then I burned the Nero files useing Alcahol 120%. I couldn't use Nero because it said my trial was up eventhough I never used it before.

Then when I put the burnt CD (burnt on 4X speed) into my DC it just said it was checking the disk but it never stopped checking it.

The image should tell alcahol 120 what to do. Without seeing it myself, this is all i know how to tell you to do.
