Post here if you have a Dreamcast coder's cable. It's the cable that plugs into the Dreamcast's serial expansion port and has a DB9 Female serial port connector on the other end.

Thanks

No, only coder's cable owners for right now. Thank you for the replies. I found a work around to what I'm doing, but I still might need your help in the future.

I have one too.

My current mother board doesn't have the 9 pin plug needed but I'll be getting an expansion PCI card that should work with it in a few weeks.

I've been thinking about getting one in order to get a backup of my save files...
But I heard they're expensiveas well as rare...

There are other ways to backup your files, they're easier to do (you don't need a coder's cable) but it's less convenient than using this cable.

Now I'm wondering what DC wanted in the first place :p

I was able to make backups already, using the blueswirl dreamcast uploader (which I recommend) but the files are made public so everyone can download them and that's kinda of a turn off. Confused
Plus my browser's e-mail doesn't work for some reason.
