Have you an idea ? I think my modem don't detect the silence over the line, so it can't cherch the <h10>s line in Unimodem Responses... How to fix it ? For those who have succeeded with XP, have you had this problem? At what point do we start the connection with the dreamcast? Thank you for your help ! PS : Sorry if I don't speak english very well, i'm French :p |

You should start the connection with the dreamcast at any time while the modem is listening. If I understand the process, the registry edit makes it so that the modem interprets silence on the line as "<cr><lf>OK<cr><lf>" From there it tries to establish a connection.
If the dreamcast is also trying to make a connection at the same time, they should be able to talk to each other. If the dreamcast isn't trying to establish a connection there will be silence and the modem will receive only "<cr><lf>OK<cr><lf>" |

Thank you for your reply !
So if I understand my settings are correct, it's just a matter of timing ... I'll try it this afternoon and I post the result. --------- EDIT: I tried lots of solutions but nothing works with Windows XP. So i set up Windows 98 ME on my desktop, i followed the mterlouw guide, but... it don't work again... My voltage simulator works because i heard the modem dial, my windows registrery is OK, my PC have internet connection... Monitoring and the pc modem send NO CARRIER... Have you and idea ? Thank's for reply ! |
