I saw the mod and it looks super fun.

I know that Doom mods are available for play on the DC, and they work great!

Will The QIII simpsons mod be able to be played on a DC? Is this already available?

I appreciate any info on the topic. Thanks, have a nice day OC'ers!

I don't think anybody has gotten Quake 3 modded Maps to work on the DC. I don't think its impossible but it has never been done.

This has been successfully achieved by german players. I have proof of it happening. Not the simpsons mod, but the modding of Q3 game maps. I had plans to write up a news article about this a long time ago, but OC site features changed and I got super busy and it fell into my backlog. However at least the people who did it first will be properly credited. It was a user named " lo " and his son who figured out how to mod a DC Q3 map.

All of this had to be built and applied to a DC ISO and then reburned in order for it to work.

Some info on this would be so nice, Whenever you have a chance. I have try'd for years to repack q3a into a bootable iso with no luck. Its Good to know that it can be done.

I don't have specifics on it. You'd have to contact the people that originally figured it out, and then get a tutorial made, as it is quite technical.

The problem with DC Q3 is that, you'd have to have burned ISO's for every new map you want to play. Then the servers would also have to have those maps, and then there would be a bunch of online servers, with maps that many people wouldn't be able to play on without having that new ISO, etc etc.
