Hello everyone !

I'm trying to get my PC-DC server working, I have the feeling that I'm close, I just need a little help in the end.

So I have a PAL DC with a 670-14116A modem attached to it. I'm using a wmware machine with ubuntu 14.04 running inside. The modem in the computer is an internal conexant softmodem. I built a voltage inducer using a 12Volt power adapter.
I followed this guide for setting up all this : http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/guides/pc-dc-server-guide-win7/

So basically, I'm stuck at the dialing part. The same happens in PSO or dreamkey 3.0.
Each time, when it's dialing, the output of /var/log/mgetty/mg.ttyS1.log goes all the way through here :

04/23 02:12:38 yS1  mgetty: interim release 1.1.36-Jun15
04/23 02:12:38 yS1  WARNING: parent process not init(pid=1), but pid=3486 (sudo /sbin/mgetty -s 115200 -D /dev/ttyS1 -m "" ATM0)
04/23 02:12:38 yS1  check for lockfiles
04/23 02:12:38 yS1  locking the line
04/23 02:12:38 yS1  lowering DTR to reset Modem
04/23 02:12:39 yS1  send: ATM0[0d]
04/23 02:12:39 yS1  waiting...
04/23 02:12:48 yS1  wfr: waiting for ``RING''
04/23 02:12:48 yS1  send: ATA[0d]
04/23 02:12:48 yS1  waiting for ``CONNECT''

Then, I get (on dreamkey or PSO) a "The line is busy. Please wait a moment. Do you wish to redial ?" error.
If I say yes, it outputs me :

--
04/23 02:17:37 yS1  mgetty: interim release 1.1.36-Jun15
04/23 02:17:37 yS1  WARNING: parent process not init(pid=1), but pid=3566 (sudo /sbin/mgetty -s 115200 -D /dev/ttyS1 -m "" ATM0)
04/23 02:17:37 yS1  check for lockfiles
04/23 02:17:37 yS1  locking the line
04/23 02:17:38 yS1  lowering DTR to reset Modem
04/23 02:17:38 yS1  send: ATM0[0d]
04/23 02:17:39 yS1  waiting...
04/23 02:17:43 yS1  wfr: waiting for ``RING''
04/23 02:17:43 yS1  send: ATA[0d]
04/23 02:17:43 yS1  waiting for ``CONNECT'' ** found **
04/23 02:18:00 yS1  send:
04/23 02:18:00 yS1  waiting for ``_'' ** found **
04/23 02:18:12 ##### failed dev=ttyS1, pid=3567, got signal 1, exiting

And the I get the "line is busy" error again.

It just finds the CONNECT, then wait for the ``_" and finds it, and the it crashes

To get this, each time I have to dial twice. Dialing a third time is useless because mgetty stopped.

So basically, pppd is never launched, and I can't find a way to get past this error.

If you need me to provide more information, that's no problem !
Thanks a lot in advance Smile

Have you made sure that you have blind dialing enabled? It's an option in planetweb and you have to enter an AT command in dreamkey (atx=0 I believe).

Yeap, I've set ATX=0 into AT commands in dreamkey. But I get the same result as described above.

Thanks a lot for your answer !
