I think its time we all come together and share our knowledge on obtaining the high sought after BBA. It would be great to help anyone who has been looking to buy one and needs ideas on cost and where to look. What does everyone else thing?

I know ebay has a few listed, and I'd like to unload mine, just don't want the hassle of ebay. If anyone lives in Toronto I have one available for $150

Hope you find a BBA for a reasonable price soon Wink I think about 175.00 is a good price for a BBA. If you can get one for 150 or less, its a great deal.

I actually just nipped back to the OC for the first time in months to check the 'getting online' guides section. I am looking to buy a BBA and remembered that one model is not actually compatible with anything but the web browser, something which I think many people are not aware of. If such info was combined with knowledge on where to buy etc. into one easy guide that would be very helpful.

I think it might be this your talking about:

*HIT-0400: "Broadband Adapter", the more common model, this used a Realtek 8139 chip and supported 10 and 100 Mbit speeds.

*HIT-0300: "LAN Adapter", this version used a Fujitsu MB86967 chip and supported only 10 Mbit speed. This adapter is not compatible with any Dreamcast games and worked only with the included Japanese browser disk.

i got the info from this wiki so it may or may not be 100% accurate (but it does sound like it would be true)
