Can anyone explain the difference between the Web Browsers
on the 2008 XDP collection disc? More specifically the difference between the
custom XDP 2.6 and the XDP MSIE 6.0 user agent?

I would have to go back and dig up the specifics. What I can remember is that these are modified versions of the original browsers that were done via editing the HTML for the user interfaces, swapping out images, and using some javascript to allow for things like playing midi files while browsing. One of the good things about ADP is that it offered an english translated version of Dream Passport.

The XDP MSIE 6.0 user agent would allow you to access certain services at the time from Microsoft that would require an IE useragent in order to work, such as hotmail. The Dreamcast's useragent was most likely being picked up as non-compatible and would be blocked. Hence the functionality that Excalibur007 added when he worked on this.

The core engines of all of these browsers are all still the same as their originals. Its not like any source code was modified.
