Friends good night okay?
I am getting, I did this simulator http://www.maturion.de/dreamcast/mterlouw/images/linesim.gif Using Windows 98/ME the DC command dial, and then ending the dial, March on the server to accept dial-up connections. I hear the DC dial the number you put in your browser, and the modem from the PC makes a noise about the same as dial-up connection to any one provider. But the DC did not talk to my modem (which is waiting for the DC) and soon after the message "NO CARRIER" Please I need a little more help. Could it be that the number that is stored by your browser in the memory bank of the DC is wrong? It could be a simple mistake such as inputing a number that looked like another number,(a "3" can look like an "8" or an "1" can look like a "7"). Call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for a list of dial-up local phone numbers that you can use for your DC. If this does not work then post back and maybe some others can help you also! Other than that make sure you "scour" or
"read deep" the forums here at OC! |

Friend thank you for the tip, but I think you do not understand.
I connect my DC to my PC, and I have seen, dial the number, whatever! Why read my post again and see what my real problem. Thank you very much. I am waiting for other tips. |

Does your DC modem have a letter B on the end of one of the serial number stickers? If so then it does need the voltage line simulator you have built there. Do you have blind dial turned on? Friend, unfortunately my modem is no longer the role model which is described.
But I think the model is that the simulator needs of tension, because without this simulator not hear my DC dial the modem in my PC. But when I put the cable with the phantom voltage, I hear the DC dial the modem to the PC. The most strange is that the pc modem noise is to "stop waiting line" and clatter of acute middle as if he were waiting for a connection. I also hear the dial DC (sound tone / pulse dialing). I am testing with, Windows XP, Windows 98 and Windows ME but all 3 give the same problem. I bought some other ingredients to make a new simulator, and I know which of these is the most advisable: Resistor 330 or 390 Ohms? Capacitor .47 uf for 1uf by 100v or 67v? Telephone cable, with 2 or 4 tracks? Please friends help me to achieve this kind of connection! |

the modem from the PC makes a noise about the same as dial-up connection to any one provider. i don't know for sure that i understand what your problem is. you are sending conflicting posts. you say the PC modem was making noise? if so, then it must be getting data from the DC. my guess is that the data is not making it out of the server PC to the web. i really don't know for sure how to help you, but if i was you i would check your ports. if you are using a router for your Broadband then you may need to forward ports from the router to the PC-DC server. you also should check your ports in winroute on the server itself. |

I will try to clarify! First send the Dreamcast Dial (Blind Dial using any number) as soon as the Dreamcast I dial enables the option in Windows 98/ME to accept external connections. " After a moment, my modem from the PC starts to make noise but it is a different noise, eg When you connect your computer to the Internet using Dial-up, your modem makes noise with the modem from your ISP, is not it? It is a noise of 2 modem is talking. In my case, I only hear the Dreamcast Dial (dial tone) and then my modem from the PC starts to make noise, but ... Dreamcast not the "conversation" with him, he's just the message NO CARRIER. I hope you can help me, please! |
