Hey guys. I hooked up my Sega Genesis and was rocking it over the weekend. Was curious to ask is there any other ways to backup you saves besides the cartridge? I think I might have to change the internal battery. Just looking for feedback or seeing if others have faced the same issue.

There are ways to backup saves from the battery's. I just don't know off the top of my head where to link you to. I remember hearing about it on a podcast before.

If I'm not totally misstaken you've got a few seconds after you disconnect the battery to get a new one in, at least you have that on other battery back up things so genny games shouldn't really be any different. If you don't want to take a chance, just solder in the new battery first in parallel and then just cut the old one out.

I'm not familiar with soldering. That's what I was trying to avoid. They sell flash cartridges so I can copy my original games and save. But it's expensive.
