I was wondering if it could ever be a possibility to add a BST section here?
I feel it would get some more activity in through the forums and everything flowing a little bit better, not to mention it would let anyone that has old or unused items/games that they don't want anymore to trade them or possibly sell the items to other users. I have been thinking about this for quite sometime now and would just like to know some other peoples views on it. Let me know what you guys think!  |

I thought long and hard about this for quite sometime. The tricky part is that the site is DC only, and it opens up people to sell any kind of item in a BST forum.
There are so many other Market Place Forums on other gaming sites to sell items on, such as neo-geo.com, digitpress, atari age, assembler, shmups, racketboy, etc, that I don't necessarilly feel a need to also have one here. Finally, lets say I did make it Dreamcast Online related items only. I don't necessarily want people to sell their DC Online games or hardware. I want people to keep it, and use it. There are a lot of people that come through the revolving door who get their modem connected, get some games, try it for a week and then sell it off. This is very typical of people with BBA's. It can be hard to find people online... and that BBA sitting on the shelf worth 150-200 dollars is mighty tempting to sell off. This is cool and totally understandable. It just isn't something I would want to see transpiring on the message boards every day. The forum would end up like a cyclical BBA pawn shop. The compromise I had made is to create the thread in the Buyers Thread in the Lounge. This lets users either announce to other users that they have bought games OR ask others for help in tracking something down (the only stipulation being that you can't sell your own items in the thread, as its isn't a marketplace). |
