Just a little project I've been working on for the 4x4 Evolution series of games. Released an update to the Dreamcast version of the game, which includes the following updates, and hopefully a bit more in the future:

-Master server lookup points to dctalk.no-ip.com. (Online Fix, untested)
-Updated or corrected the specs of almost every stock vehicle in game. See website
-Added sales options for Jeep and Land Rover. (No land rovers added currently)
-Added Jeeps from Evo 2. Conversion done by Tyler Durden in 2002

Good to have the list, I'll copy it down for historical purposes if anything. But the only operational one I know of is DC Talk.

There has been an update on the PC side, a few days after your post. I am curious as to what error or issue you had with the PC version, if you could elaborate some more. That said I am still working with the Dreamcast version and after this next 4x4 Evolution 2 PC patch, I'm hoping to get a version of the track editor out that is able to create new full tracks for the Dreamcast version.

Keep an eye on it, eventually a new update will be out for the DC side.

My issue is Microstf Windows 7. Incredible long loading times, yet once in game it works flawlessy. When using your (old?) patch it just crashed right away.
If theres any interest in the trackquery "protocol" I do have packetlogs . It's actually very simple http get query to a php/perl script

I actaully have all the info, however I wouldnt decline extra especially if it's the reply portions. Also I really want to troubleshoot the issue you are having as well with the PC version I've been doing all troubleshooting on two windows 7 PCs. Neither is loading slow, or crashing so I'm curious as to what it may be.

If you could message me on Skype my name is "acidburger"

It was captured from the mindboogle.us server serveral years back it was using this script mindboggle.us/cgi-bin/tracks.cgi
I made sure to access all ingame functions (most downloaded, newest track etc) and download tracks. I'll clean the log of personal data and upload here in the next days

I actually have more but it's time consuming cutting the relevant stream out of a large capture file

Awesome, this looks like it should be helpful in saving us time once it's time to restore this function. Thanks for the info, also just for a heads up. The next PC patch should be out tomarrow, the gameplay elements will trickle down to the DC in a few months.

udp perl script

I remember tonka running his own server from his home and he might still have all required files including the track download script
