I recently got a sega dreamcast and I want to play phantasy star online but I have no idea how to do that. I really need help to get a simple walkthrough of how to set the game. I also noticed the extensive requirements to play on the servers and I think it's a little much but I will do my best to keep up with the requrements.

Thanks but now I have more questions:
1-what is the difference in between dial up and broadband methods.
2-which of the two is easier to set up
3-which one is cheaper
4-I live in Canada so can I even connect to the Phantasy star servers
5-what is PL in the VERSUS section

Thank a lot again

1 - you play either through a dial up method (if you have a readily available phone line), the phone line plugs into the modem on your Dreamcast. However, you can play using a broadband adapter (if you can track one down) by plugging in your internet cable into the Dreamcast.

2 - probably the broadband method

3 - maybe dial up if you already have it

4 - You can connect anywhere you are at

Hope this helps and if I missed something, someone please add/correct me.

1,2&3 : The dialup would be the easiest. I think canada has a few free dialup isp's. dialup4less has a LOT of access numbers for CA, though it always takes me 2-3 tries to connect to them.

4: You can play fine as long as you have the patch disc for the online codes. Or there's an auto connect cd image floating around on the net.. A few google searches should get you online in an hour at most

If you dont have home phone service you cant use dialup.

If you have a Broadband adapter, PM me and I can walk you through connecting. I got my Broadband adapter yesterday and I am online with PSO
