Sega implemented a "feature" that made it so only quest downloaded from the server could be played. It recorded the serial number used when the quest was downloaded and only let that serial play the quest.

Version 1 doesnt have this, so feel free to download and play Ver.1 quests Wink

I guess tighter restrictions for security reasons. I guess they felt gamersharkers could get a hold of the quests and use them as an exploit to reap weapons or something

i reed this somewhere when i was googling.

anyway, you said that if the serial numbers match that you can play the quest?

now is it the serial number of the psov2 game disc, or the serial number of the dreamcast?

i was thinking the download quests here could be hacked/hex edited by inputing your own serial number somewhere, but this may be a long shot.

To play the Ver.2 quest you MUST download them yourself from the Ver.2 server, which cannot be done with a US game anymore as the US servers are down.

Nope, files downloaded from a PAL game use a PAL serial number, and a PAL save, so they are not compatible.
