I recently got a backed up copy of 4x4 Evolution from a friend (sorry guys,
i couldn't find it in my local GameStop) and attempted to go online using an
ISP from the free isp list on this site

ISP: JUNO
Username: junotest@jtp-uu.juno.com
Password: cLICK11
Access Number: 1-800-575-4547 (Toll free)

and it wasn't able to log onto the internet with it. Who knows? It might
be the backed up copy that's doing it, but It may be the ISP. What do
you guys think? I know this ISP works on Quake III arena, though, I was
playing it (with lots of fun involved, heh) a few nights ago.

It may be the ISP configuration, or it may be the quality of your backup copy. I use a backup copy of 4X4 EVO, and it works perfectly online.

I would say, try going online with Quake III again, and then try 4X4 EVO after that. If it doesn't work again, you might want to try a replacement. It remains one of the funnest online games.

Make sure that it's dialing the 1 when it goes through the dialing sequence. I had a problem at first too, but then I realized that, when it would show what number it was dialing, it would start with 800.

No luck with it still. I'll probably just buy the game off of a site or just look for it some more.

By the way, would anyone mind giving me the network configurations that they
know work for 4x4 Evolution? Not asking for your ISP account and all,
just one of the public domain ones people use that you know works with 4x4 Evo.

Might be able to tell if its the CD or not.
