I was messing around surfin the web today, and decided to goto yahoo to browse around. so i decided to try the yahoo chat thinking yeh right this wont werk, but actually i was able to go onto yahoo's java chat server and chat. it was so kewl because u wouldnt think things like this would actually werk on a dreamcast, but it did. so anyways i'm just spreadin some info around incase no one knows.

I was using planetweb browser v3.0 i didnt check any others because i didn't feel like digging thru all my dc disc.

if ya don't know where the page is it is located at
http://chat.yahoo.com/

if anyone else is willing to test this, please let me know if it werks on other browsers for dreamcast.

Yeah, it will only work for 3.0 as far as I know as thats the only version of planetweb that supports Java I think?

I think the Japanese Dreampassports will support it though, but not Dreamkey, because from what I can remeber Dreamkey doesnt support Java either?

Cheers, Craig

PlanetWeb v3.0 is the only browser that will work with Java Applets such as yahoo chat.

Nikon is right fellas. PW3 was the only DC browser that has anything remotly resembling java applet support. Practically all the browsers support javascript to one degree or another, but not actual applet support. PW3 has whats called Sun PJAVA which is a very limited JVM designed for PDA's and other handheld devices like cell phones. Yeah, yahoo chat works in PW3, but my god....look at that font size.
