...'cause holy shit it took a long time this message with the d-pad.

just testing the new msn username (1318@msn.net, and i'm awfully grateful to koda for that -- thanks for being crafty!) to make sure i'm ready, so i had to post while i'm connected.

i have a laptop and a desktop in my apt. why does it feel neat to just be online on my dc?

i'm gonna fire up starlancer and make a game real quick, just to make sure everything works. anyone up for an impromptu march? Smile

ps this took 28 minutes.

And you really won't regret buying one.

Plus, you're going to laugh your head off the first time you spend more than five minutes on "Typing of the Dead." Very Happy

I know the feeling of not having a keyboard, i didn't have one for months after getting online with the DC. I finally bought one for $12.00 and it was worth every penny.

One other thing, mice are £3-odd from eBay too - if you're using the DC for mainly web browsing then it is worth looking into, as good as the analogue seems!

they used to have one at my eb games, but now ALL gamestores around me threw their dc shit away, so ebay is the only place for me to get my hardware.

I've got another option for you all.

Get yourself a PlayStation/Saturn/PCkeyboard-to-Dreamcast converter. I spent a bit under ten dollars each on a pair of them, and I am very glad that I did. Each converter allows you to use either a PlayStation controller (great for the uninitiated), a Saturn controller (great for fighting games), or a normal (not USB style) PC keyboard on your Dreamcast.

The model that I got is the one shown at the bottom of this page:
http://www.vidgame.net/SEGA/dc_peripheral.htm

One of the best $20 I ever spent on my Dreamcast.

It was most likely made into a real prototype (that was a fake from what I heard, just shell) but it was never sold because of the failure of the DC for the Christmas 00' holiday shopping season

Twelve Dollars? Thats a deal! I need to get a Broadband Adapter first, and then hopefully I will get a keyboard.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones
I got my Dreamcast keyboard for $4.99 at my local EB
they only had one, and I haven't seen one in any store since
mine works perfectly fine, and it's freakin awesome to use with the browser, and especially with the mouse with Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament
