What is the diff. between Import games and the US games?
How do I know if my DC can play import games? |

All dreamcasts have a region lockout that disallow imports to be played. There are two ways to get around this. 1. Get a boot disc, or 2. Use backup copies of the games you want to play. Done deal. | |||

A game that was not intended to be sold in your region the big 3 are Japan, UK and North America even though there may be more regions that you bypass regional lockouts on. | |||

European games are usually multilingual, but Japanese games are of course....in Japanese. Some are bilingual jap/eng (puyo puyo fever), but this is somewhat rare. Many are playable despite their japanese text and voice overs though, unless were talking something with massive ammounts of text like an rpg. | |||

If it's from Lik-Sang or another online importer like that and says it's universal then it probably has a mod chip in it and you can play any game you want in it. Where did you get yours from? | |||

I got my DC off e-bay, pretty cheap...... It plays English games and Japaneese games, not sure about imports though... |
