What an outstanding game.

When I picked this one up back in 2000, the first impression was a lasting one. Everything about this game screams SEGA! (wink)

After my laughable attempt to destroy my sparring partner, I literally played the game until I mastered the controls. When my friends dared me to a battle, it was over within seconds. I dominated at this game like none other.

Is it difficult without the expensive twin sticks?

You can change the control configurations.

I had two copies of this wonderful looking game. Did anyone notice that the robot's armor had Dreamcast consoles imprinted on em?

Everything was good about this game besides the retarded control sceme. I could never get the full hang of it.

Has anyone played Virtua On: Mars for the PS2? If so, how are the controls for it?

I don't have it, but I watched a friend play, and we made jokes about how the Dreamcast was soooo incredibly powerful, it can power a full-sized robot. Go Dreamcast.

Hey ultrapro, here ya go:

http://www.buyritegames.com/product_information.asp?number=DC-TWINSTI&back=yes&dept=1058&last=1012

By the way, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THAT SITE.

The twinsticks should work for every region, I don't think it matters.

It's a rare and exclusive peripheral for the DC. I think the prices are going down however.

Personally, I had trouble playing with the twin sticks in the arcade. Hate to say this, but I prefer a controler.

A couple of notes on the hardware:

It is my understanding that all Dreamcast hardware, with one exception, is region-free (i.e. it will work with any region systems and games). The one exception that I am aware of is light guns (apparently US and non-US version guns and software don't work together).

As for the twin sticks, another option is to try to track down the Saturn twin sticks and then use a Saturn-to-Dreamcast converter. You may want the converter anyway (especially for using Saturn pads for Dreamcast 2D fighting games), and apparently the Saturn sticks are a little easier to come by.

thanks for that martianv, but what i meant about the hardware was that i didnt think the us version of the game would support them, you know how they list what peripherals they are compatible with.
