The NTSC ver of PSO ver 2 is a thin CD jewel case and the case side is black (looking at the side where the game title is) pic on the front ASH ? humar in orange is holding a Saber with 1 hand.

The PAL ver of PSO ver 2 is a THICK case because the manual comes in several Languages with a blue color (title edge again) ASH (come on he does look like him.) has his arms down to the side.

Someone had posted a pic awhile back , or it may have been a link to ebay.

Like DaMan said: Look for orange or blue

In JP&US "official DC color" is orange

But it's blue in EU

Because of this german company's copyrights

see this is a thing that thicks me off as well, the dreamcasts in the eu have blue stickers and are programmed to display blue (which i prefer cos sonic is blue orange is tails) but the eu dc's come with shitty orange bulbs!!!

Huh...

I never knew why the EU Dreamcasts were blue. I guess I just thought it was an advertising thing (and I agree that they look nicer and would be even better with a blue or white bulb).

Cool.
