now i gotten a Q3 DC server up that works, i cant do anythin from the console on it.
some guy sed i must type "say <wot i want>" in the console to chat from console, it sed unknown command say, then a stupid git came in the server, i typed "kick uro" it sed unknown command kick! can someome PLZ help!?? Adam. |

ok,
i know how to change gametype now! but how do i change MOD? i downloaded the DeathGun3.0 mod, and placed the shotty.pk3 into my BaseQ3. now in the server console, i type g_gametype deathgun3.0, it sed gametype will change in next round, so i w8 till next round. and notin happens, i do no how to host a server with the mod, but then, it will only play THAT 1 mod, so basicly wot im asking, how do u change / vote for a MOD? Adam. |

you dont put the mod in the baseq3 folder, it needs to go in its own folder outside the baseq3,also the folder needs to be named deathgun3.0,you can then choose to load the mod from the mod menu or set it with the command line.
quake3.exe +set dedicated 2 +set fs_game Deathgun3.0 +set net_port 27960 |

Yay!
now i can run a DeathGun server! but if i was too run a normal BaseQ3 server, and just wanted to change mod to deathgun, cud i type a console command or somethin to just change the mod instantly? Adam.. |

nope it wont work, you would have to run two servers on seperate port numbers.
there are mods available that can switch from regular to shottie by voting or by using different cfg files but there really for people that have been running servers for a while and some have "lots" of commands. i can give you some links for mods that can to what your looking to do if you like? btw if your running deathgun as a dreamcast server you should look at using the newest version as it has some fixes for dc users. heres the link for the new version: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/skitty2uk/files.html |

that was a help! which do DCers tend 2 play more? BaseQ3, or DG4.0? if i was DC id play DG, so from now on, ill be runnin a DG4 server
