ur asking a group on the dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com site, i think the majority of us will say dreamcast. dreamcast has plenty "family fun" games including fur fighters, looney toons: space race, wacky races, floigan brothers. and as for cartoon games i guess you mean cell shaded? we've got plenty of games like that too (the two kart racers above for example and jet grind radio). for adventure games, draconus, soul reaver, and mdk2 are all great fun. plus, pso is still a great place to be, and, except for the occasional hacker, it has one of the most friendly online communities.

i know it was kinda stupid asking dreamcast or Ps2 when im in a dreamcast area (you gotta remember im 16 and mi brains aint workin yet !!)

does anyone have a screenshot of wacky races....i love the TV series!

Fur Fighters seems a bit weird but ok
loony toons will be good for my sister
space channel 5 and this samba de amigo or whatever it is called has to be a must.
The Sonics Of Course

if u want pso then dont get ps2, its not on the system.

id HIGHLY reccomend Rez but thats likely to set you back £40-£50 and Samba De Amigo is gonna set you back over £100

i dont mind being set back £100+ if its a good investment which is fun and can be passed on with good value.

Rez is?

can you browse the internet on the dreamcast. I mean like check emails etc?

Why don'y you just get both?
The Dreamcast will cost next to nowt anyway.

The latest PSO games are on Gamecube, you can also pick these up dirt cheap.

Sod it, get all three, it'll be worth it.

dont start that master chief. buy the games mate, its the best way to go about it, you'll find most are incredibly cheap for the dreamcast and its better to own them than burn copies of the software from off the net.

Im gonna use the site name here ONLINECONSOLES, I guess you have some interest in this area as you are here. Your in the UK, if you have BB get the PS2 cus basicly its got lots more choice of online games if thats what your into. If you dont have BB get DC you can play the reamaining online games and surf the net with the dreamkey browser. Like someone said above though best choice is get both, the DC wont set you back much and you can buy the games when you like.

i have broadband, put im not prepared to pay about £75-80 for a machine and £25-40 for decent games...this is why im looking into a dreamcast.

A mate of mine says i would notice difference as i own an xbox, but i dont really care, gameplay matters most. Dont know if you guys agree with that i dont know....im got around £30 on starter and maybe a £85ish maybe less.

Got to be worth it surley.

hell yeah mate, get a dc for 20 quid and pick up a handful of titles either in your local cex/gamestation for a tenner then bung it online. you'll love it. yes you will notice a difference in graphics, but only if you look for one. in my opinion the dreamcast has its own style of graphics which i prefer to any other console. they arent as realistic as say splinter cell or gran turismo and all that jaz but they are more fun more colourful more vibrant and clearer to look at and have a much higher frame rate. i heard on a preview of jade empire which is a very new xbox game that, and this is a quote, "it will run at a blistering 30fps!!!" i stopped the dvd and wound it back about 5 times just to make sure i wasnt hearing things, the dreamcast runs at a constant 50 or 60hz depending on your tv. all you have to do is look at games like afo, virtual on oratorio tangram, and many others to see the differences in frame rate and picture clarity. anyway if your only willing to spend around 30-40 quid then the dreamcast is the ideal machine. and only bother forking out for a bba if you have the money and want to save on phonecalls for pso. its really not that expensive to just play it on dial up and i've been told that theres not really any difference.
