guides would b better... i think

why don't they just look a tiny bit into the forums so they wouldn't have to ask?

I think a lot of people don't realize you can still play some Dreamcast games online, and they become too excited to think when they find this website and learn the truth. They just hop on and start asking all sorts of questions without thinking or researching past threads or anything.

Take me for example. I discovered this site completely by accident just over a year ago. I bought my first Dreamcast for Christmas '01, which was just after the closeout price of $49 was introduced. I purchased the last Sports Bundle for $79 that my local EB had. Anyway, I never bothered trying to take the Dreamcast online, since the demise had already been announced. Flash forward two years to Christmas 2003, and my curiousity started getting the better of me about the Dreamcast's online capabilities. Now, I still had no idea or intention of playing games online, but I really wanted to be able to surf the net on my TV in my living room. I had AOL as my internet service, and I had heard the DC was imcompatible with AOL, so I went to research a bit on google and typed in "Dreamcast online" as my search criteria.

Guess what popped up first?

Anyway, the information that was available on this website astounded me. It was almost too much for a noob like me. The really cool thing about it was just the climate of the board. I was nervous at first to ask a question for fear of being flamed, but everyone was extremely nice and supportive of my efforts to get my Dreamcast online. Since then, I haven't looked back.
