Okay, so Texas Hold 'em poker has become really popular (in the US, anyway), and tournaments are getting a lot of TV time. Anyway, my neighbors have coaxed me into playing in the neighborhood poker games, and I really need to practice if I want to continue doing that (translation: I suck).
I never thought Hoyle Casino had Texas Hold 'em, only remembering it had Omaha Hold 'em, but Texas Hold 'em is indeed one of the games. My only problem with it, is I don't know how to increase my bet over what is initially offered in the bet window. The instruction manual says to push Y to modify the bet, but I can't get it to work. Does anyone know how to do this, or is modifying bets restricted in Hoyle's version of Texas Hold 'em? Oh, and as I played this game, I can't help but think how great it would have been to have an online virtual casino on Dreamcast. Vegas Baby! |

I know segadreamcaster has this so maybe he can help.
As for poker on TV ........ OMFG that is so ******* boring it makes me want to play snap by myself  . If they start to show it on the BBC which we pay over a £100 license fee per anum for here in the UK ( compulsary ) then Im gonna have to go and hold up my local BBC to get the money back. What next ... pro celebrity paint drying on FTN?.

Hold on, i think i have that game. Ill go try it.
There is no way to do that. The version of Texas Hold Em on HC is "Limited Betting" The one on tv is "NO-Limit". You cant play No Limit Hold Em on HC. |

Shoot. That's what I suspected. I was hoping there was a way to override that in the game options somewhere, but I don't think you can.
I don't watch poker on TV much at all, but I do enjoy playing it while enjoying a nice cold one - or six or so. |

Nah I don't have it, although I have spoken of it before in conjunction with something else...gotta admit its not the sort of game I would play not of interest at all...but at least the question seems to have been answered

This is the one with Sierra Sports Gameroom shown on the back of the instruction book. It even has the multiplayer online symbol on it.
