I am about to order Quake 3 Arena, but I need a import player. I have the Action replay CDX Demo version that came with an issue of DCUK. Will that play imports, or will I have to go for something else?

youre in luck I got that too and I can say that it works perfectly for I think any imports you want to play including maximum pool , never buy an utopia though . Out of experience it only plays a few games .
Have fun playing quake 3 I know I had with the regulars when I could do it .

I wasn't told that, but I've never seen an OFFICIAL Utopia disc so you might be correct on that.

By using the utopia disc - it will tell some words like: if you bought that item you were cheated! Look at the screen when the utopia bootscreen comes up.

Not the rip I got. Then again, I bought it. Razz

But it works fine for booting my PAL games, and I needed a bootdisc and don't have a CD-R.

Damn a few problems which mean that (even though I wanted to) I won't be getting Quake 3 for a while afterall. But thanks guys now I know that when I do get it I won't need to buy a boot disk. Razz

yes - if you use vga dont worry if you see a black screen only by booting the utopia disc. Utopia doesnt show a pic via vga but it loads all games fine.
