I was curious to see if anyone watches movies on their DC. If so, how is the quality? How good is the software? Does the program run it full screen?

I have Divx movies running on my DC and it is full screen but the resolution is grainy (since it is Divx), i haven't tried VCD so that might be decent.

What was that media player that was supposed to allow audio/video to stream through the BBA?

vcd quality is poor on dc, even using original vcd discs.

As for videos on dc . There was a very good vcd player that runs without to crash , not like dcdivx does . But i forgot the name

So, if someone had the choice, what software would they use? Also, is there any remote accessory?

The official vcd player comes with a remote controller - without the remote the software wont work. Like it was said before - the quality isnt that good. Better get a cheap dvd/vcd player.

the best one is DCplaya beta 3. It has the best divx playback. but if you want good MPEG playback use gypplay.

I just want to maximize the use of my DC. I already have a DVD player. I was just curious. There's so many possibilites with the DC... I was just trying to explore all my options with it.

Yeah you will find the Dreammovie package actually works fairly well when used on an NTSC DC, but forget it on a PAL DC, just freezes up....very similar to the original issue with PBA bowling which was later resolved with a patch

Cheers, Craig
