I know this idea was canned a while ago along with the zip, but what there ever a working protype of this? It looked like a pretty sweet accessory, but I could only imagine that battery life would be horrible since the regular VMU sucks that battery dry like a fat kid going after cake. Unless, however, they use a rechargable battery. Which brings me to another question. Is there such a thing as a rechargable watch battery?

That's pretty sweet about the zip drive for the DC. I didn't even know there was a working device.

Nor did I. Links? Do you know what collector or person has the zip drive?

I don't think anyone actually has the zip drive. There was a prototype on display by sega of japan at TGS or something.

But that one wasn't working, just like the VMU MP3 player on display at the same show. I thought lozz said there was a working version of the zip drive.

Yeah, that's what I thought what lozz said. It would be pretty sweet if an actual, working, zip drive would be in someone's hands. But I doubt that. I'm sure someone would be bragging that they have a working unit. I saw the protype pictures in a magazine about the mp3 vmu. It looks pretty sharp. I just a shame that the VMU didn't work out as great as it was hyped to be.

That would definitely sound better than using those watch batteries.
