I wouldn't think a pic would be too hard to find... but I haven't looked.

The Panther controller is nice. I picked one up at EB Games a few years ago for pocket change. I've used it for Starlancer, but not much else. It has a control stick on the right (nice for flying games) and a trackball on the left. The trackball is clear blue and lights up (if I remember correctly). I haven't used it in a long time even though I keep it out and ready to go.

Doesn't it look nice? I know Quake 3 has the option to use this control in the default control setup. I was thinking about getting it soley for Quake 3, but I don't know how it would work.... What a nice controller....

I can't see it running smoothly for Quake III, but to each their own. Mad Catz is, on the whole, a good accessories company, so almost all of their stuff is quality.

I wish there was a model with the ball on the right and the stick on the left. That is how outtrigger was in the arcade.

yeh but that wouldn't be that comfortable or practical. i suppose you could change some settings in game, but i still think it would be too awkward.

Huh, never thought of using the Panther for Starlancer, but that does make a heck of a lot of sense. I've debated on getting one for quite some time now, but I haven't jumped on one yet. Mostly, I hear it's good for flight games, such as the Aero Dancing series or Air Force Delta, as well as for 1st person shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament.

I think if one could adapt to aiming with the left hand, it would kick arse on a shooter like Quake.
