ok, so this is going to make me look like a complete noob, but i dont care... i really want to play this game... see, i used to have it back in the day while the US servers will was up... well... i had it for a week... and then they got shut down and i almost cried... and i havent played this game since... ive kinda been lurking on these boards and learned that the PAL servers are still open, so i broke down and bought a PAL version of PSO vol. 1... and it just got here... but... the thing is... i have no clue how to take this baby online... so if anyone can help this poor lost soul, id appreciate it... either a response on these boards, an email at conkey.7@osu.edu, or IM me at DiscoDaveTheStud... id really appreciate... the sooner i can get this party started the sooner i can break out of my depression caused by the shutting down of SEGA.NET... thanks

P.S. I also have a US version of PSO vol. 2... i dont suppose there is any way to get that online is there?

ok all you need to get online with PAL pso in the US is:

dreamcast (any region)
phone cable
PSO (with serial keys)
A bootdisk (to load PAL games on your US console)
An ISP (internet service provider)

btw there is a way to get onlie via US pso, but its much more complicated and not really worth it.

hpe this helps, lozz.

Hmmm. If it were version 2 you would have been able to contact Sega to get a new code, but unfortunatly you're probably going to have to hunt down another copy.

Here something really odd... i put in my PSO v1 PAL, and it didnt ask me for a serial #, nor did i need a boot disk... could this have anything to do with the fact that i used to own a copy of the the game (probably a US copy more than likely)??? really weird... i wonder if this means ill be able to take this online, if i can get a dialup connection here at Ohio State (my roommate seems to think its possible)... so assuming all this works, how do i get to the PAL server?

if you dont need a boot disk, then your either playing of a PAL console, or its a pirated game.

Or your Dreamcast is pimped.

EDIT: There are some Dreamcasts out there that are being modded to play games from all regions, perhaps yours is one of them.
