Hey guys, it's been quite a while since i've been here but I just couldn't stay away. I love the dreamcast way too damn much!

Just started a new collection and I ran into a similar problem I had to deal with a couple years ago.

For some strange reason, everytime I strip my dreamcast down to it's bare shell and put it back together, it turns on, but never gets it's video power back.(the video for the system doesn't function anymore). I've tried following directions on multiple websites on how to take it apart and piece it back together and follow the instructions 100%, but the shit never works after I open it....

Any suggestions?

same thing happened to me. i accidentally screwed a long screw where a short screw was supposed to go. this ended up scraping a chip on the motherboard.

i promptly played taps and gave it a burial at sea (the dumpster)
