Has anyone tried MGS on the original bleem disc that was designed for the game, as well as the Bleem Beta disc that works for all games?

Are there differences or do they both yield the same performance?

i thought that the bleem beta disc JUST emulated psone games. I didnt think it improved performance at all ( i know the official ones did )

Bleemcast Beta increases the resolution and adds anti-aliasing.

I thought that the beta was supposed to support it fairly well. However, before reading this post on Sunday AM i happened to try MGS (having just purchased it for £2!) but nothing loaded, maybe it just needed time?

I know the official releases have save support. I don't know once you format a memory card for the PS1 saves if you can use that to save on the betas...

Nikon, I've tried both the Bleemcast disc specific to Metal Gear Solid, as well as the Beta disc with the game, and the Beta disc crapped out. The beta disc does not support the FMV sequences in the game, and there was a lot of clipping and distortion with textures within the game. The Bleem! disc specific to the game was rock solid for all of the FMV sequences and sounds, and it greatly improved the textures and resolution. Antialiasing really smoothed things over.

I also achieved similar results with Gran Turismo 2. On a side note, I recently downloaded images that are supposed to be of the different colored Bleem beta packs that were scheduled for release, but I don't know if it's true yet or not. It probably isn't.

Awesome. Thank you kingofgrills that is the information I needed to hear. I could have snagged the disc for super cheap in a recent order I made but held back to save some money. Oh well I will have to try and get it somewhere along the way.
