hello my name is firas
i have Q3A US.ver and i can connect with my Dreamcast (dial-up) with Dreamkey 3.0 browser but i can't play online with Q3A :?: help plz (tutorial if u can) :oops: |

Dreamkey 3.0 might not be configuring the same ISP account that Quake 3 uses.
Try configuring your ISP with Quake 3 Arena's config tool and see if that works (which is should). What ISP are you using to connect online with your Dreamcast? |

Well you may know this, but the outside line prefix is for telephone systems that require pushing a number to get an outside line. And your phone number should be longer than 4 digits. 
-user name:NB-DanTE -Password:****** -Primary DSN:0.0.0.0 -Secondary DSN:0.0.0.0 -Out Side line Preix: -Call Waiting Prefix: -Local Area Code: -Phone Number:XXX-XXX-XXXX (or XXX-XXXX) -Dail Local Area Code:OFF (unless your phone company requires, or you're dialing another area code) -Pulse Dailing:OFF Summary Dail (Read-Only): , try that and let us know |

Are you talking about the problem - that you cant see any quake III server? I need some more infos about your problem. Where are you from? | |||

what's this -> -Out Side line Prefix:FAYDOOPLLL ?? -Dial Local Area Code:ON I am not shure the area code is set right, so better choose OFF. Is 1515 the correct number, not 01515? or something like that? Is the dc directly connected to the phone line? Quake 3 is unable to do 'blind call', to dial if no tone is to hear. What are your dk3 settings, check them and post. Maybe you can try an internet by call provider, so you make shure it's not your currently internet provider blocking needed ports. -Out Side line Prefix:FAYDOOPLLL ____ idont know it's in Q3A config menu -the 1515 number i use it to connect with DC yes my dreamcast is directly connected to phone line [dial : pulse] , not BBA Whats dk3 settings ? i can connect to net with DreamKey 3.0 browser ,i use it to download saves |

sorry: dk3 = DreamKey 3.0 browser iI think the U-235 had been right try these settings: -user name:NB-DanTE -Password:****** -Primary DNS:0.0.0.0 -Secondary DNS:0.0.0.0 -Out Side line Preix: -Call Waiting Prefix: -Long Distance Prefix: -Local Area Code: -Phone Number:1515 -Dial Local Area Code:OFF (unless your phone company requires, or you're dialing another area code) -Pulse Dailing:OFF Summary Dail (Read-Only): 1515 delete the -Out Side line Prefix: normally you only can fill in numbers noting like: FAYDOOPLLL ____ seems a very strange us q3 .) hope I could help you kr lo_ p.s.: Press the Dial and not the Seganet button ! |

-user name:XXXX -Password:XXXX -Primary DSN:0.0.0.0 -Secondary DSN:0.0.0.0 -Out Side line Preix: -Call Waiting Prefix: -Local Area Code: -Phone Number:XXX-XXXX -Dail Local Area Code:OFF -Pulse Dailing:OFF Summary Dail (Read-Only): XXX-XXXX I'd say just plug in your phone number and user ID and pass, and nothing else and then try it. note: Doing this will change the settings internally on your DC, so it's possible that you may not be able to connect with DreamKey, but I have no problems connecting with any of the online games, Planetweb 2.6 or Dreamkey 3.0 |

Do some searching on these forums, there is an old thread with some of the console commands that will help you get a little bit better framerate, but yes, lag is a major issue when it comes to Q3. You'll learn some of the tricks to getting better frag counts. 2 things I can tell you...
