Now tell me what to spend it on!

I've got a large number of PAL releases, and an NTSC copy of Shenmue, but what i'd really like is some Japanese titles.

I've already decided to buy Dream Studio, and i'm interested in Gundam Battle Online (unless you guys reccommend otherwise!)

So, i'm gonna ask you all to recommend 10 good Japanese-only DC releases for me to purchase. I don't speak Japanese, but thanks to currently taking lessons, and translation guides, I am not really bothered how text-heavy these games are - I have a lot of patience.

Please help! I don't like having cash!

Time to sound very stupid...

Could you tell me what the Sakura Taisen games are actually like? Thing is, I don't even know what genre they are, let alone anything to do with the storyline. All I know is that they are all over ebay, and i've wondered about them for a while...

Plus, more recommendations are welcome!

Oh, cool, always wanted to play one of those. I take it Sakura Taisen is the best, then?

Thanks for the recommendations, JKKDARK and X!

Any more?

They arent playable without jp. language knowledge.

Cosmic Smash (space squash with a sweet female voice)
Tokyo Bus Guide (densha de go on streets - you drive a bus - great music funny gameplay - for me a must have - better then part 2 on PS2!!!)

Sakura Wars games are playable. I finished the second one and I don't have any idea about japanese. so Don't say they aren't playable.

Yes, I intend to get Rez ASAP. Played the PS2 version and loved it.

Tokyo Bus Guide is an interesting one, especially as you compared it to Denshu De Go!, a game i am considering getting. Is one better than the other, or should I try to buy both?

Rez was also released on PAL territories, I did think that you wanted only japanese releases.

Yeah, I was already intending to get Rez PAL, and other than that I was only looking for Japanese releases. Not bothered about any of the other US/UK releases right now.

Oh well, then if you loved the PS2 version (which was a bad port, compared to the Dreamcast version), you will really enjoy the Dreamcast version Mr. Green

Sorry but the Playstation 2 version was not a bad port. You have been misinformed. The PS2 version in-fact has a higher framerate, running at a flawless 60 frames per second. However the PS2 version does not have FSA (Full Screne Anti-aliasing). The only differences between the games from a port standpoint are the framerate, and the aliasing. Which version you choose is a matter of preference. As a sega fan I own the game on both platforms.

Now to stick to the topic at hand. Some games I recommend getting are some Japanese exlusive fighting games which can't be found in North America or PAL territories on the DC:

Capcom vs SNK 2
Guilty Gear X
King of Fighters 2000
King of Fighters 2001
King of Fighters 2002
Vampire Chronicles
