Is this game really good? I've been interested in this game for awhile but not sure if it's worth the price. I did like Trigger Heart Excelica so would I like this game? Is it worth the price? | ||||

The game is really well made, yes it's good. The only reason not to get it would be not liking shoot'em'ups. I didn't know it was so (relatively) expensive, though. Some people may prefer spending the same amount of money in several games rather than in just one more expensive game.
There are several videos on youtube, check them out to see if you like how the game looks like. This is a good example: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-egfG-IL2z4 As you will immediatly notice, the music is great, very arcade-ish I suck at 360º shooters but it generally just takes some time to get used to it. |

If you enjoyed Trigger Heart, then you will definatly enjoy Under Defeat. The explosons, weather effects, and smoke in Under Defeat are really impressive. This would mean nothing though if the game didn't have good gameplay. Under Defeat is a throw back to a more classic style of shmup. More like Raiden or Strikers. Which is great because you don't see many games like that these days. Most shmups today try to devise a more complex scoring mechanic. As for whether it is worth the price, all of the Dreamcast shooters can be expensive. The games released in recent years were all pressed in limited quantities. A lot of people made the grave mistake of thinking they could hold out for some sort of price drop. These games don't drop in price, the go UP in price. Not infinatly but they will regularly fetch from 60-90 dollars a pop easy. Each game had about 6-12 thousand copies pressed on average, with limited editions getting even lower pressings in the 2-3 thousand range. Segata Sanshiro wrote:

Alright so I'm leaning towards buying it, is 100$ a reasonable price or is there any place I can get it cheaper?
Edit: Nevermind I found a place I can get it cheaper, thanks for helping me make up my mind everyone |
