I noticed that the framerate in 4x4 Evo improves based on the camera angle. If you are in the first person view with no truck showing the framerate is much better. If you are close to the truck it gets worse, and then when the camera pans way back far away from the truck.... it gets really sluggish. I have been driving in the first person perspective view lately. However, it has been difficult to drive in this view since it is a lot harder to see trees and objects you need to dodge.

1st person is the ONLY view I use in race games. It's more real that way, and yes, sometimes it helps framerate.
Good to see this site still going. I might have to dust off my DC soon! Smile
