Hello everybody, I'm new here.
I was wondering what programs I should use to burn games such as homebrews and emulators to disk? Also, is there a specific type of disk I should be using? Or will a regular CD-R work just fine? And what is cdi? The files I'm wanting to burn are selfbooting, and cdi if that helps. Any help at all would be appreciated. ^.^ |

I would recommend that you use DiscJuggler, and the Disc that you should use a CD-R 52X 700 MB 80min, and a CDI is a image format for a disc, and all selfbooting means is that you don't have to use a boot disc. | |||

Ah, so pretty much just your standard CD-R? And are there any instructions for help with this using DiskJuggler? (I have no idea what it is)
EDIT: I found this tutorial http://dcisozone.com/tutorial/17/how-to-burn-or-create-a-dreamcast-disc-in-5-minutes.html Would that be better to use? |

How Burn Dreamcast Games, or Homebrew Games,or Apps. 1'st Step: Download the ISO, or Homebrew Game, or App. 2'nd Step: Once the file is downloaded, right click on the file and then click extract here. 3'rd Step: Now you should see a gold disc. 4'nd Step: Open DiscJuggler, and then click new. 5'rd Step: Once you do that click burn disc images. 6'th Step: Now insert your Disc into your tower. 7'th Step: Now take drag the gold disc into source. 8'th Step: Now click Start. |

I would suggest using high quality cdrs like Taiyo Yuden. Some cdrs are received poorly by the DC and can strain the laser to the breaking point. | |||

Try Alcohol 120% for making Dreamcast Games, do it at like 4x or as low as you can. Work best for me all the time.
All you need is the .CDI and your done. |
