There is a thread posted already. But I just found

An article on gamespy's website.

It's shutting down. What about it's servers? I do not now.

Sad time to see gamespy go.

It is what got me into pc gaming, andwhat made me enjoy starlance just a few years ago.
I keep telling myself "I'll connect my dreamcast to the internet ONE OF THESE DAYS"

It has yet to happen. Damn me not having time.
I'll be sure to make enough time for my dreamcast tomorrow night. !

Yea gamespy's network assets were already sold off to some mobile company, which has been shutting stuff down left and right over on the PS2 side of things. Good thing we have an alternative server solution for Starlancer. However, at the moment, there is little documentation, and I would have to write it up.

Also, I have to contact the original author of the code. Since he pulled the code from his personal site a long long time ago, I have to make sure he still wants his name associated with the code he gave me. This is a pretty important step that has to happen before we start tossing the server code and tutorials around.

So Starlancer DC might be in limbo for a bit.
I'm already numero uno on Dark Helmet's hit list...

I've been trying to get Starlancer online with a PC-DC Server. Yesterday I finally got It to work and I find out that the servers are going down... Curious thing, I'm online right know (with my dreamcast) and It's seems that I can still connect to GameSpy's servers and play...
