I was looking around the net and seen an emulator that plays on the DC, an SNES emulator. Has anybody tried this yet to see if it works? Does it play at full frames? Do all the games work? How many games can cram onto the disc? I would love to play some of the old 16 bit classics with out having another console taking up precious space in my living room.

yeh dreamsnes is the best out there, and no it isnt completely full speed, its about 85 to 90% on the speed. for the roms u can fit hundreds of roms 1 disk. as far as using it for a reg system i would u use the actual system since it runs at full speed.

Yeah, Dream SNES is pretty good, but some games suffer from significant slow down. There are some settings you can adjust on the option menu, and that can help restore some performance, but it doesn't fully remove slow down.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely worth getting, and a lot of games run fine, but some games are effected by performance.

True. I sold my SNES many years ago, and I don't want to have too much space taken up by consoles, so Dream SNES foots the bill fine for me.

I also have the Colecovision and Atari 2600 emulators running on my DC, and that allows me to keep those systems stored out of the way. The only thing I have hooked up are my Dreamcasts, PS2, and PC.

Emulators are fun.

Super Famicast is a new SNES emulator developed for DC.
It's got a ton of promise.

He's not stopping work on the Super Famicast, he just said that he probably won't get much done on it 'till July, so he released the source code for anyone who wants to work on it.
He's also having trouble figuring out some stuff.

He's not quitting persay, but he is taking a leave of absence for now to concentrate on NesterDC SE.
