Whether it is people getting active hosting servers, or playing on servers, it is a positive thing. It increases discussion at the very least, which can lead to more people getting into the habbit of regularly playing.

IMP@QT: see a recent thread regarding "server label standards"

Also I say go for a modded server. Freeze tag sounds good to me, but maybe some other people would have some good suggestions.

Freeze tag is fun, I've played on the PC game many times in Team DM games. This mod wouldn't be great for Team DM on the DC version, 4 people is not enough. I'm not exactly sure if there's such thing as FFA Freeze Tag games, but all that would be different is players not having to thaw others, and players score points when everyone else becomes frozen.

Agreed discussion is good to keep things alive but then there is also something kind of pointless about having more servers than players. I havent connected to see what kind of mods are on offer lately but I would guess going for one thats not already on offer if you are going to support a mod.

I agree, I think you should host something.

Me and Misfit were planning on getting a zappy server set up, but it seems we haven't gotten around to it.

I've been reading up on this zappy mod, looks like it could make a pretty cool DC server.

ill make it Freeze Last Man Standing... Basically you freeze everyone until your last and you get a X amount of points for surviving. Have fun with it guys, will be up randomly, but frequently, between Mon-Thurs. 2-3pm - 5-6am EST, and Fri-Sat 1-2pm - 1-2am EST.
