I couldn't find this one pic of what the Dreamcast was going to look like before its release. I read about it on some website I found as I was browsing for DC's history. I found out many cool stuff and other downers. The most interestingfact i found out was that the DC was going to look like a Desktop case for PC. who knows mor about this? plz lemme know of some link that will enlighten me more about this or just tell me more stuff that will be helpful on my understanding of the "Desktop DC"

I think your getting mixed up.
The DC which looks like a PC is the development DC.
This is the dreamcast used by game developers.
Every now and then one pops up on eBay.

Is this really one of the ideas of how they were going to release the DC? Wow! I know it works very much like a PC, but, wow. giving it a PC struture I think would be a little strange considering it is suppose to be a DC.

Do you think it would have operated differently too if this was done? In toher words, do you think the performance of it would operate more like a PC? This way we could save and download things, like images maybe? Just a curiosity.

This is a development box. Not a consumer product. Only buy this if you know what you are doing.

I wouldn't recommend that either. Because each development box contains an internal hard drive that games in development were run off of, there's a small chance that the drive may contain a prototype or early build of a released Dreamcast game. Most collectors wouldn't have any idea how to retrieve the data or put it into usable form. Even if they have the know-how, odds are the collector will keep the data to his / herself.

It's best that these units either go to someone with the interests of the community in mind or someone who understands how the kit works and has a specific use for it.
