Well it seems I have worn out my THIRD Dreamcast Sad

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could get the little ribbon that attaches from the GD-ROM laser to the board. I have three Dreamcasts sitting around with the same problem. I guess from all the back and fourth motion, the ribbon gets a tiny tear and stops reading disks. The rest of the system is fine, it's only this ribbon that is what I'm after so there is no use buying a whole new Dreamcast for the fourth time. If there is a place where I could grab hold of this item or if anyone has a spare parts Dreamcast I'd be very interested in this item. Thanks in advance.

lol yeah I might be. It isn't my fault though. I blame Sega for making such a awesome system. Laughing

Plus I think because I play Half-Life, Propeller Arena and a backup Shenmue II, I put the laser through it''s paces Embarassed

well yeah but a broken DC is pretty damn cheap. you can find them on ebay for like 5 or 10 bucks. shipping would be more than just sending the ribbon though. idk let me know if you find one. if not maybe i can help you.
