Hey everyone, I understand this might be considered a list thread, but I imagine there are only a few games on the DC which include co-op play so hopefully its not breaking forum rules. Basically I'm looking for games which include some co-op play, if there are any. I have a good selection of multiplayer games (which the DC excels in), however it would be nice to be able to play with a friend rather than against them for once.

Thanks, lozz.

Well most games could fit into competitive co-op where 2 players are on the same side fighting for the hi-score such as most shumps, but for some reason I don't really think this is what you had in mind. or is it a 'gray area'?
(was'nt what I had in mind either)

Yea I think there needs to be a seperation between competative/non-competative "2-player" games and what would be deemed as true co-op. This is where a lot of threads like this start get all crazy, where people start listing games like Virtua Tennis or Power Stone just because 2 people can participate at once. Same thing for games like House of the Dead 2. Nobody would ever say this game has "co-op", but rather, it supports 2-players.

I think co-op refers to action/adventure/rpg games where the cooperation and assistance from a secondary player helps to move through stages, solve puzzles, and destroy enemies.

Armada would be one game I can think of that has legitimate co-op.

Another fine Dreamcast game Star Wars Episode 1 Jedi Power Battles also has a Co-op mode. Although it was released on other systems, the DC version is the definitive version.

Also, Virtua Tennis or Tennis 2K2 (sequel). Doubles co-op is fun. Unreal Tournament co-op is good as well on Skilled.

Phantasy Star supports co-op, online at least.
